Recently I’ve been quite busy and haven’t had much time to read (nor to write reviews), until yesterday, when I finished Hereticus. I wanted some light, mindless reading that would allow me to leave the book for a couple of weeks and not feel bad about it. I had this book in the pile for a while, and thought it would be a good candidate.

Well, I finished it today. It’s not a life-changing book, but it’s fun. It’s also a good introduction to the relatively recent events of the universe I’d certainly not consider it a good introduction to the universe, though. It must be very confusing if this is the first thing you read. , and certainly seems a good introduction to 40k Alpha Legion.

A small warband is recruited to do a mission that will deliver an Imperial world, in the Imperium Nihilus, to a Chaos Lord. Of course, very soon things go astray, and what began as a difficult mission ends up being… well, a very difficult one.

As said, it’s not life-changing, just good fun, but I do end up a bit sad that there seems to be no direct continuation of the book.
